Abstract

The PARM process in Uganda was initiated from 2013 to 2016. Throughout the period, the process increased stakeholders’ perception of risk through the comprehensive risk assessment study for Uganda. It also identified three ARM tools – one specific (plant pests and diseases control) and two cross-cutting (capacity development of extension services and public-private information systems)  – and initiated feasibility studies into these tools.

On the 29th November 2016, PARM and its partners organised a High-Level Policy Dialogue in Kampala to engage stakeholders, technical experts, policymakers and development partners in a policy process to discuss possible partnership opportunities to invest in the three feasibly identified ARM tools for Uganda. Read these two reports (Vol I & II) for the main points that emerged.
