Abstract

This report synthesizes the main points that emerged from a Capacity Development Seminar on Agricultural Risk Management (ARM) held in Mbale on the 8-9 December 2015, by IFAD/PARM in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industries and Fisheries (MAAIF) of Uganda. The seminar aimed at increasing participants’ capacity to analyze and understand their risk exposure, the influence of risk on their business, the need for information and know-how and the different ARM tools for reducing, transferring, and coping with risks.
