This new release underscores PARM’s growing impact at the regional level, exemplified by the success of the regional workshop held in Lomé, Togo in partnership with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). The event brought together ECOWAS Member States and key stakeholders to accelerate the scale-up of agricultural risk management in the region.
Over the past three months, PARM, under the leadership of the host governments, officially launched two major investment initiatives: the Agricultural Risk Management Project for Inclusive Development and Resilience (GRADIR) in Burundi, and the Resilient, Sustainable and Inclusive Agriculture for Investment Programme (ARDII-Tounes) in Tunisia.
Reaffirming its role as a knowledge broker, PARM released a new study taking stock of agricultural insurance in Madagascar. Drawing on relevant past experiences, the study provides a comprehensive assessment of the current landscape and proposes a strategic roadmap to advance both agricultural and index insurance in the country.
