Since 2014, PARM in partnership with NEPAD and other actors has been assisting the Government of Niger in a process to mainstream agricultural risk management (ARM) into policies. The results of this partnership led to the creation of awareness and building capacities on ARM. It also resulted in the development of ARM proposals for investment.
This report brings together the main results of the joint process in Niger. It is structured into four sections: (i) a summary of main achievements, process timelines, and expectations moving forward on ARM; (ii) a section focusing on the risk assessment phase and risk prioritization in Niger; (iii) outcomes from the feasibility studies on ARM tools for investment; and (iv) capacity development and knowledge-sharing on ARM in Niger.
