This material concentrates on the identification and comparison of tools for an effective risk management strategy. It also provides guidance on how to implement, plan and evaluate farm-level risk management strategies, and concludes with an overview of the role of policy in the ARM process. It is developed specifically for PARM CD2 level training – but it can also be adapted to support similar pieces of training at the country level.
PARM’s CD2 is an interactive 5-day course that targets extension workers, university students, public and private officers, and officials with higher educational background. It aims to provide advanced agricultural risk management (ARM) knowledge to create a pool of local ARM experts to timely advice and train farmers on managing agricultural risks.
