The Platform supports the government of Ghana since 2023, through the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA), to design a programme to strengthen the country’s capacity to manage agricultural risks in three value chains: poultry, soybean and tomato.
This report presents the Ghana Agricultural Risk Management Programme (GhARM), designed to ensure that Ghana’s
poultry, soybean and tomato value chains and actors are resilient, inclusive and able to mitigate risks and attract long-term financing. This objective will contribute to the overall objective of improved, inclusive and risk-mitigated poultry, soybean and tomato value chains for resilient and sustainable food and nutrition security, while reducing the substantial import bill for these three priority value chains and increasing national self-sufficiency.
